Hurricane Sandy

My profile picture was taken on the Brooklyn Bridge as me and my girlfriend headed back to work two days after hurricane Sandy. At the time I lived in Bensonhurst. The N train was only running as far as downtown Brooklyn. Then we all were to get on a shuttle bus and be taken over to Manhattan. This was all due to the fact that lower Manhattan was all under water. When we came out from under ground I noticed the shuttle bus lines were tooo long for my high energy, keep it moving attitude! Absolutely not! I said to my chicka. I went up to an NYPD that was standing there and said to him, " should we wait in that long line or walk the bridge?" His few words were, "walk the bridge, it will take you fifteen minutes." So we headed for the bridge.
It was AWESOME!!! Wow!! I was on the famous Brooklyn Bridge!!!! On a gorgeous day! The best thing about it my friend was born and raised in Brooklyn, had never ever been on the bridge!! Not only that she phoned her mom and said " guess where I'm at!" Because of my little sassy attitude we did that damn bridge!!
We later found out, shuttle bus rides were taking three hours!!
