Over the holidays.....
All of us wearing casual, comfortable clothing
It was just some hometown friends
All raised Pennsylvania German
Unpretentious people, not trying to be
Anything more than who they are....
When enter.....
The one a beeeeess!!!!
This couple that arrived came all decked
Out like they were attending a wedding??
I immediately wondered what scars of
Low self-esteem they were trying to hide
Who were they trying to impress???
My god, my one friend was sporting a pair of Chuck Taylor's!!
Everyone had jeans on......
Kate Middleton-Windsor has even dressed less casual than this egocentric
Couple
Everyone I could see as well, struggling
to figure why this couple would
Come dressed like this????
After this King and his obnoxious Queen
Dispersed
Of coarse everyone looks to the hairdresser for advice
This was my speech.......
After living & working in New York City
I have learned & been exposed to some of the most wealthiest, prominent people
On the scene in this magical place
I have been with the President of the Theater Guild in New York & he has come dressed like a bum.
When you are TRUELY happy with yourself you no longer feel a need to impress
You are who you are
And you don't have to hide behind anything
These two obviously have major image issues
They were well aware that at this holiday
Party & this group of people would be dressed down
Why would they come looking like this??
Think about it.....
It is what it is
Stupid is what stupid does
And these two individuals all masking
Hurt, pain, low self-esteem with their
Image
May they find peace someday
And a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor's
